Production on The Great Gatsby will resume after the start of the new year to give director Baz Luhrmann a chance to recover from an injury he incurred while filming in Australia.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Luhrmann was directing a scene from the remake that stars Leonard DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire when he bumped into a camera crane. Explained co-producer Anton Monsted, ”We were on quite a cramped set and he was ducking under the crane. He struck his head on the weights on the end of the camera crane. He split open his head and we had to get the doctor.
